“your way is my way” as part of WAXworks

August 11th, 2019 at 7:00pm

We have eight rules. Four for the space: switch sides, diagonal cut, form a square, and find me. Four for our bodies: circle up, don’t run away, white on rice, and it smells over there. From these rules we move.

“Overbite” turns “Underbite” into a proscenium dance performance.

Inspired by Gottfried’s work and the movement of the installation, “Overbite” takes the themes of “Underbite” to the dance stage. The artists of Tinted Windows attempt to bring the images of Gottfried’s work to life once more without the presence of the actual work.

“Underbite” is a movement installation that features the visual work of Sarah Gottfried, presented at SMUSH Gallery.

Gottfried and the artists of Tinted Windows strive to take viewers out of the traditional gallery setting and into a space all their own. Join the artists as they turn Gottfried’s 2-dimensional work into a live experience.

no artificial preservatives

“no artificial preservatives” is an evening length work which was performed as a part of Gibney’s POP: Performance Opportunity Projects in July 2018.

Think more like '70s groove crossed with your grandma grocery shopping but still with the intention of being art. Oh, and it's raining.
